LifeBound (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a personal project developing a mobile RPG where your real-life habits drive your character’s progression. We are based in Spain and operate the website lifebound.io.

We collect only the following personal data:
Email address — provided voluntarily by you when you join our waitlist.
We do not collect your name, phone number, payment information, location data, or any other personal information. We do not use cookies. We do not use analytics or tracking tools. We do not process any sensitive personal data.
Our hosting provider (Vercel) may automatically process your IP address and basic request data (such as browser type) as part of serving the website. This data is processed by Vercel under their own privacy policy and is not stored or accessed by us.
We collect your email address for the following purposes:
The legal basis for processing your data is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation). You give this consent by voluntarily submitting your email address through our waitlist form. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 7).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
Your email address is stored by Brevo on servers within the European Union. No transfer outside the EU/EEA occurs for this data.
When you visit our website, your connection is served by Vercel, which operates infrastructure in the United States. Vercel participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, providing a legally recognized basis for this transfer under GDPR Article 45.
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to our waitlist. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we will remove your email from our systems within 30 days.
If the LifeBound project is discontinued, we will delete all collected email addresses.

If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Spain, the relevant authority is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD). In other EU/EEA countries, you may contact your local data protection authority.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our email provider (Brevo) implements industry-standard security measures. Access to your data is limited to the project operator.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our website is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their email address, please contact us at privacy@lifebound.io and we will delete it promptly.
We do not use cookies. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies.
We use your browser’s local storage (localStorage) solely for a technical rate-limiting function that prevents repeated form submissions. This does not store any personal data and cannot be used to identify or track you.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via the email address you provided. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
